Third Inter-sessional Regional Meeting on ISDS
The third inter-sessional regional meeting on ISDS reform will take place in Conakry (Guinea) on 26th September 2019. A capacity building workshop is scheduled to take place on 25th September 2019, at the initiative of the Government of Guinea and the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF programme).
Is financial assistance for travel and accommodation provided?
In principle, participation is self-funded. However, a lack of financial resources is clearly a barrier to participating in the work of UNCITRAL. The European Union, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and France, have offered to provide financial assistance to attend the Third Inter-Sessional Regional Meeting on Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform subject to the availability of funds, partial funding of either the flight or accommodation may be provided, upon the request of the Permanent Representation at the United Nations in Vienna or New York, to attend the meeting in Conakry, Guinea.
