UNCITRAL–UAE Global Summit on Digital Trade and Digital Platforms, 8–9 December 2025, Dubai

Monday, 08 December 2025 - 9:00am to Tuesday, 09 December 2025 - 6:00pm

Global Summit on Digital Trade and Digital Platforms

Venue: One Za'abeel Tower, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates)

This is the first in a series of events being organized by the UNCITRAL secretariat to advance exploratory work on digital platforms and private law that was requested by the Commission at its 58th session (Vienna, 7–23 July 2025) (see A/80/17, para. 22(e)(iv)). The event is being co-organized by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates, which, together with Spain, submitted a proposal to the Commission on possible future work on legal aspects of digital trade, with a special focus on digital platforms (A/CN.9/1227).

The event will bring together representatives from government and platform operators across industry, as well as legal practitioners, academics and other stakeholders. The first day of the event will feature a high-level dialogue focused on industry, legal innovation and policy, while day 2 will feature a technical discussion of legal issues related to UNCITRAL’s ongoing exploratory work.

Further information on the programme, venue and registration are available here.
