2019 UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day
The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) was established by the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2205 (XXI) of 17 December 1966 and has since come to be the core legal body of the United Nations system in the field of international trade law. The UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific (UNCITRAL RCAP) established UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day in 2014 to celebrate this historical resolution.
This year, a groundbreaking total of 17 universities and institutions across the region have joined the annual celebration to commemorate the establishment of UNCITRAL and promote awareness of international trade standards and norms, particularly those endorsed by UNCITRAL. All UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day events are free of charge. We especially welcome students, academics, research scholars, practitioners and those interested in international trade and commercial law.
