Papua New Guinea accedes to the UN Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards (New York Convention)

With its accession to the UN Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards (New York Convention), Papua New Guinea becomes the 160th State Party to the Convention. Papua New Guinea becomes a State Party at a time that marks the 60th anniversary of the Convention coming into effect on 7 June 1959. The Convention will enter into force for Papua New Guinea on 15 October 2019 (view the press release).
