En su 57º período de sesiones, celebrado en 2024, la CNUDMI solicitó a la secretaría que organizara un coloquio sobre la pertinencia de los instrumentos de la CNUDMI para la acción climática, en particular la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Contratos de Compraventa Internacional de Mercaderías (CIM), la Ley Modelo de la CNUDMI sobre la Contratación Pública, las Disposiciones Legales Modelo de la CNUDMI sobre las Alianzas Público-Privadas y los instrumentos sobre solución de controversias. El coloquio debería ayudar a la CNUDMI a evaluar la conveniencia de que la secretaría preparara documentos de orientación sobre la aplicación práctica y la interpretación de los instrumentos existentes y posibles textos complementarios para abordar las cuestiones relativas a la acción climática. En respuesta a esa solicitud, la secretaría de la CNUDMI está organizando el Coloquio de la CNUDMI sobre el Derecho Mercantil Internacional para un Futuro Más Verde que tendrá lugar los días 23 y 24 de octubre de 2024 en el Centro Internacional de Viena (Viena, Austria).

À sa cinquante-septième session, en 2024, la CNUDCI a prié le secrétariat d’organiser un colloque sur la pertinence des instruments de la CNUDCI pour l’action climatique, notamment la Convention des Nations Unies sur les contrats de vente internationale de marchandises (CVIM), la Loi type sur la passation des marchés publics, les Dispositions législatives types sur les partenariats public-privé et les instruments sur le règlement des différends. Le colloque devrait aider la CNUDCI à déterminer s’il est souhaitable que secrétariat établisse des documents d’orientation sur l’application et l’interprétation dans la pratique des instruments existants et d’éventuels textes complémentaires pour traiter les questions relatives à l’action climatique. Pour donner suite à cette demande, le secrétariat de la CNUDCI organise le Colloque de la CNUDCI sur le droit du commerce international à l’appui d’un avenir plus vert les 23 et 24 octobre 2024 au Centre international de Vienne (Vienne, Autriche).
La secretaría de la CNUDMI se complace en anunciar la 5ta edición de las Jornadas de la CNUDMI para América Latina y el Caribe (UNCITRAL LAC Days), las cuales tendrán lugar entre el 1 de Octubre y el 13 de Diciembre de 2024.
UNCITRAL LAC Days brinda un foro académico para que miembros de la academia, investigadores, estudiantes y partes interesadas del sector público y privado con una pasión por el derecho mercantil internacional compartan experiencias y mejores prácticas.
At its fifty-seventh session, the Commission mandated Working Group II to work on the recognition and enforcement of electronic arbitral awards and, subsequently, on electronic notices of arbitration. In this regard, the Commission provided the Working Group with a broad mandate to identify the issues and explore appropriate solutions to address those issues without prejudice to the final form of the outcome. Hence, the Commission requested that the Secretariat organize a two-day colloquium during the eightieth session of the Working Group to further assess the issues with respect to the use of electronic awards.

UNCITRAL LAC Days bring together members of the academia, researchers, students, and private and public stakeholders with a passion for international trade law to share experiences and best practices in an academic forum.
The China Arbitration Summit 2024 & China-MENA Arbitration Summit will be held on 26 September 2024 at China World Summit Wing, Beijing. The Summit is co-hosted by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI), and the All China Lawyers Association (ACLA).
The Summit, which is a flagship event of the China Arbitration Week, will focus on the theme “International Arbitration Transcending Eras”. the Summit will bring together arbitration and legal experts from across the globe to share their views on cutting-edge and topical issues in the new era, explore the future direction of international arbitration, and jointly develop international arbitration that transcends eras. Concurrently with the Summit, the China-MENA Arbitration Summit will be held to further strengthen communication and cooperation in international commercial arbitration, and to promote collaboration in dispute resolution between China and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.

由联合国国际贸易法委员会和大连海事大学共同主办、中国商务部支持的“《贸易法委员会电子可转让记录示范法》与电子提单法律发展国会”将于 2024 年 5 月 31 日星期五以线上线下结合方式举行。在中国致力于对接国际高标准经贸规则的背景下,本次研讨会旨在针对国家立法与《贸易法委员会电子可转让记录示范法》开展差距分析,并在中国拟针对《海商法》开展修订的背景下研究与电子海运提单相关的实务和法律问题。
Co-organized by UNCITRAL and Dalian Maritime University and supported by the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM), the “International Symposium on the UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Transferable Records (MLETR) and Law Relating to Electronic B/L in Transition” will be held in person and virtually on Friday, 31 May 2024. Against the backdrop of China's commitment to international high-standard economic and trade rules, the symposium intends to take stock of the gap analysis between national legislation and the MLETR, as well as examine the practice-related and legal issues associated with electronic maritime bills of lading in the context of China’s planned revision of the Maritime Law.
Co-organized by UNCITRAL and the Faculty of Law of Ain Shams University, the "Symposium on the Quest for Transparency in International Investment Arbitration: Opportunities and Challenges" will be held in person and virtually on Tuesday, 28 May 2024. The year 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of the UNCITRAL Transparency Standards. The symposium aims to increase awareness about the UNCITRAL Transparency Standards in the region by focusing on the critical issues of transparency in international investment arbitration, looking into newly adopted UNCITRAL instrument reflecting transparency, and examining both the opportunities and the challenges that lie ahead.
