Working session on the draft Code of Conduct, 7 and 10 June 2021

The ICSID Secretariat will host, with the support of the UNCITRAL Secretariat, a working session on the draft Code of Conduct for Adjudicators in International Investment Disputes. This session will be held by video conference on June 7, 2021, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am (EDT). Participation is open to all delegates to UNCITRAL Working Group III (Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform) and to all delegates designated to attend on behalf of ICSID Member States.

The draft Code of Conduct, jointly published by ICSID and UNCITRAL in May 2020, and updated in April 2021, has received extensive input from States and the public (see comments by State/Commenter as of January 14, 2021). In May 2021, ICSID and UNCITRAL published a Note on the Implementation and Enforcement of the Code of Conduct. This working session is an opportunity to advance the latest draft of the Code, and to consider methods of implementing the Code in practice.
