Vienna Arbitration Days

21 February 2020 to 22 February 2020

UNCITRAL is a co-organizer of the Vienna Arbitration Days, the leading arbitration conference in Austria. The event will be held from the 21-22 February in Vienna, Austria. This year’s topic is Arbitration and Public Law. UNICTRAL Secretary, Ms. Anna Joubin-Bret, will speak about transparency in arbitration during a session titled, Safeguarding Public Interest in Arbitration. Third Conference on International Coordination of Secured Transactions Law Reforms: Advancing Reforms Globally and in Latin America Through Enhanced Coordination

The UNCITRAL secretariat is participating in the Third Conference on International Coordination of Secured Transactions Law Reforms: Advancing Reforms Globally and in Latin America Through Enhanced Coordination, in Cartagena, Columbia on 12 and 13 February 2020. The event is co-sponsored by the International Insolvency Institute, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Externado, and the Kolzolchyk National Law Center (NatLaw).

The Settlement of Investment Disputes by Arbitration and Mediation within the Ohada Area

UNCITRAL is glad to support the organization of the Symposium on “The Settlement of Investment Disputes by Arbitration and Mediation within the OHADA Area”, in partnership with APAA, OHADA, ALSF and the French Cooperation, to be held in Douala (Cameroon) on 16-17 January 2020. UNCITRAL Secretary, Ms. Anna Joubin Bret, will speak about the Singapore Convention on Mediation and the current status of Working Group III (Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform) and Working Group II (Arbitration and Conciliation / Dispute Settlement).

投资人与国家间争议解决改革圆桌會議, 韩国首尔

联合国国际贸易法委员会亚太区域中心及韩国法务部诚邀各政府代表参加于2019年12月12日至13日在韩国首尔举办的投资人与国家间争议解决改革圆桌会议（ISDS圆桌）。

ISDS圆桌由联合国贸法委亚太区域中心和韩国法务部共同举办，亚太地区的国家代表可就联合国贸法委第三工作组正考虑的的投资人与国家间争议解决的改革方案会面并交换意见(第三工作组第三阶段的授权任务为拟定推荐予委员会的有关解决方案)。ISDS圆桌将包括七节会议，分别探究上诉机制、第三方出资、行为守则、咨询中心、投资人与国家间争议解决的改革方案的多边工具、多边投资法院以及仲裁员和审裁员的任命。（请查阅附件中的暂定大纲）

期望为期一天半的ISDS圆桌能让各代表团就将在2020年1月20日至24日在维也纳举行的下一次工作组会议上讨论的改革方案及将在日后进一步考虑的方案分享意见。联合国贸法委亚太区域中心和韩国法务部诚邀各政府代表参与ISDS圆桌，以对这些投资人与国家间争议解决改革方案发表意见。预计讨论将基于秘书处就改革方案预备的工作文件，以及各国向工作组提交的材料进行。我们目前正寻求愿意就某些改革方案进行带头讨论的国家代表。

ISDS Roundtable, Seoul, Republic of Korea

Coloquio sobre localización y recuperación de bienes

Durante el 52o período de sesiones en 2019, la Comisión pidió a la Secretaría que organizara un coloquio, en cooperación con otras organizaciones internacionales competentes, a fin de aclarar y perfeccionar diversos aspectos de la posible labor futura de la Comisión sobre localización y recuperación civil de bienes, para que la Comisión lo examinará en el 53º período de sesiones, en 2020.

联合国国际贸易法委员会（UNCITRAL) 资产追查和追回专题讨论会

在2019年联合国国际贸易法委员会第五十二届会议上，委员会请秘书处与其他有关国际组织合作举办一次专题讨论会，以进一步澄清和完善委员会在关于资产追查和追回一领域可能开展的工作的各个方面，供委员会 2020 年第五十三届会议审议。委员会认为专题讨论会应审议关于资产追查和追回的可能工具所包含的内容，并收集更多关于大陆法法系各法域做法的资料。专题讨论会还应(a)审视刑事和民事追查和追回资产办法，以期更好地界定该专题，同时受益于现有工具；(b)审议为破产法和其他法律领域开发的工具；(c)讨论拟议的资产追查和追回工具及其他国际文书 (A/74/17, para. 203)。有关决定为委员会于审核美国提交的提案后作出 (A/CN.9/996) and (A/CN.9/WG.V/WP.154)。

UNCITRAL Colloquium on Civil Asset Tracing and Recovery

At its fifty-second session, in 2019, the Commission requested the Secretariat to organize a colloquium, in cooperation with other relevant international organizations, to further clarify and refine various aspects of the Commission’s possible work on civil asset tracing and recovery, for consideration by the Commission at its fifty-third session, in 2020. The Commission was of the view that the colloquium should consider the elements of a possible toolkit on civil asset tracing and recovery and collect more information on civil law jurisdictions practices.

La conférence sur « l’intelligence artificielle universelle : uniformiser les règles du jeu », organisée conjointement par la CNUDCI, Shearman & Sterling et BCG Gamma aura lieu le 15 novembre 2019 à Paris. Un représentant du Secrétariat de la CNUDCI interviendra en visio-conférence dans le panel intitulé « L’intelligence artificielle en droit : l’intelligence artificielle contre le jugement humain. »
