The 3rd Asia Pacific Mediation Conference
The 3rd Asia Pacific Mediation Conference: “Singapore Mediation Convention: Strategies of China, Japan, Korea and Russia” will be held on Friday, 2nd August 2019 at Trade Tower in Seoul, Republic of Korea. UNCITRAL Secretary Anna Joubin-Bret will deliver a Key Note speech during the Welcoming Session, and head of the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RCAP) Athita Komindr will be speaking in Session 1: Understanding of the Singapore Mediation Convention.
UNCITRAL RCAP is a supporting organization of the 3rd Asia Pacific Mediation Conference which is co-organized by the Korean Society of Mediation Studies, the Ministry of Justice and the Korea International Trade Association.
The conference will focus on current developments in the field of mediation in the Asia-Pacific Region. The discussions include topics such as the importance of mediation in the region, training future mediators, utilizing mediation in cross border disputes, and establishing mediation institutions. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided for all sessions in both English and Korean.
