The Second South Pacific International Arbitration Conference

The Second South Pacific International Arbitration Conference will take place from 25 to 26 March 2019 in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea (PNG). UNCITRAL is co-organizing the event with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the PNG government, and other development partners. 

The Conference focuses on enhancing the rule of law and increasing business confidence within the South Pacific region in a globalized economy and will discuss comprehensive topics on dispute resolution of benefit to the region, such as accession to the New York Convention, arbitration and climate change, and the Singapore Convention on Mediation. Government officials, policy makers, judges and other law practitioners are invited to participate.
