2025 KMOJ - UNCITRAL ADR Special Session

The ADR Special Session (ADRSS) is an annual flagship event focusing on UNCITRAL dispute settlement texts and related developments in the Asia-Pacific region. Co-hosted with KMOJ, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and KCAB INTERNATIONAL, this year's session is themed “Implementation of UNCITRAL Dispute Settlement Instruments in Civil Law Jurisdictions.” The event will bring together leading voices from the Asia-Pacific to examine enactments and considerations of UNCITRAL instruments in the region, focusing on civil law jurisdictions with comparative perspectives, uniform interpretation of UNCITRAL texts via the Case Law on UNCITRAL Texts (CLOUT), ISDS reform developments, and dispute resolution in the digital economy. The session will be opened by Deputy Minister of Justice Hong-Sik (Justin) Chung and UNCITRAL Secretary Anna Joubin-Bret.
