Asia ADR Week 2019, “The Kintsukuroi Perspective: The Asian ADR Revolution,” applies the Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with gold, or kintsukuroi, to alternative dispute resolution in the global economy – with costly commercial disputes as cracks that are mended by ADR. Organized by the Asian International Arbitration Centre in in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the event’s first day features a presentation by Athita Komindr, Head of the UNCITRAL Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, on the Singapore Convention on Mediation.
