UNCITRAL Working Group III Workshop on the Implementation of ISDS Reform for Africanstates is taking place in Rabat from 3 to 5 June 2026.
The workshop is co-organized by UNCITRAL secretariat, the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Government of Canada with the support of the the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO).
The workshop features training sessions, including presentations, Q&A, and roundtable discussions on the following topics:
- Working Group III process in the development of ISDS reforms;
- Already adopted reform texts: Codes of Conduct for Arbitrators and Judges, ISDS Mediation texts, Toolkit on Dispute Prevention and Mitigation;
- Texts to be submitted to the Commission in 2026: Statute of the Advisory Centre and Supplementary Provisions on the Conduct of IID proceedings;
- Texts under consideration by the Working Group: Statutes of a Permanent Tribunal and Permanent Appellate Tribunal for international investment disputes, remaining provisions on procedural and cross-cutting issues and multilateral instrument on ISDS Reform.
